- Utility messages sent inside the 24-hour customer service window are now charged too (they were free from July 2025).
- A new fifth category, Meta Business Agent, covers replies written by Meta’s own AI and is billed by tokens.
- Meta has billed in AED since 1 April 2026, so UAE businesses can pay message fees in dirhams.
Many pricing guides still say that replies inside the 24-hour window are free. Since October 2026 that is only true for the first 1,000 service messages a month, or for conversations that start from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad.
